I don't agree with you. Before patch Y you could use the softest tyre compound in a race on any car that's equipped with slicks. R2 and R1 tyres are quali tyres and not for race use. I like FZR even better than before because the gearbox, it's more interesting to drive (if you have the right equipment).
I made a little FFB test program, it's pretty simple right now (made in 5 mins or less), if I have a little more free time I'll make something better.
Edit: I forgot that at the moment it only works if Spring effect is at 100% in the control panel.
OT:
There are people who can't sacrifice nice clothes, shoes etc. because they don't have money for them. I know people who would love to have a car or a good equipment to use with sims but they have barely enough money to pay electricity.

I think the Porsche wheel will be a great competitor for the G25, I may consider buying one later.
OT:
Nooo, you need Need for Speed 4: High Stakes, that game was quality. The newer NFS games shouldn' be called Need for Speed they just aren't good enough, IMHO.

My computer is similar to yours (AMD A64 3000+, 1GB RAM, Ati Radeon 9800 Pro). I made this simple video few feeks ago to test my computers ability to record LFS movies with sound: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=625604
I used 4x or 6x AA (sorry, I don't remember ), 16x AF, max LOD, 848x480 resolution (16bit) and recorded at half speed in LFS at 25 FPS then set playback speed to 200% in Premiere. I don't know why but VLC doesn't play files created with FRAPS so I always watch them in WMP or in Premiere. Today I tried a replay with a huge grid and it helped a lot when I shut down all other programs. And giving higher priority to LFS and FRAPS might help too. I didn't get high FPS in my last test with max graphics settings but the sound was OK so with lower settings it would be alright I think.
